About Epicureo

Epicureo is a private travel consultancy based in Florence. We design experiences — for individuals, families, and corporate groups — across Italy and Europe's most significant destinations.

The premise is simple: the finest experiences in any country are not the ones available on a booking platform. They are the wine estate that opens its cellar for people it trusts. The path that the village has mostly stopped walking. The private collection that has never been exhibited, in the historic apartment of a family that has owned it for four generations. The cave church that a licensed archaeologist will unlock for you, and no one else, at dusk.

Accessing these things requires two things that cannot be purchased separately: time — years of building relationships with guides, producers, custodians, and families across seventeen countries — and the judgement to know which relationships matter. Epicureo exists to deploy both.

We work under the same standard whether the brief is a private week in the Tuscan countryside or an incentive programme for eighty senior executives in the Scottish Highlands. The access changes in scale.

  Every experience we arrange is built on a personal relationship with the person, family, or institution providing it. We do not aggregate suppliers. We maintain friendships with the people whose doors we ask you to walk through.

  We do not design tours of Italy. We design an encounter with a specific place, at a specific time, with a specific person who has something particular to share. The difference between a Chianti wine tour and a morning in the barrel cellar with the vigneron who made the wine is not a question of price. It is a question of access.

  We take fewer clients than we could, and we work with each one more closely than is standard in our industry. Every itinerary is built from a conversation. Every conversation is taken seriously. We would rather design fewer programmes that are genuinely right than more programmes that are approximately right.
