Snorkeling in Ieranto Bay

A snorkeling experience at the Bay of Ieranto offers the opportunity to explore the crystal clear waters rich in marine life of this beautiful protected area of the Sorrento Peninsula.

Prior to diving, divers will receive a brief introduction to the Ieranto area, sea conditions, and the main features of the dive site. Information will also be provided on the marine fauna and flora found in the area. Divers will be provided with full equipment, including swimsuit, mask, snorkel and fins. An instructor or experienced guide will conduct an equipment check to ensure that the equipment is in excellent condition.

The dive can begin from the shore or from a boat, depending on location and preference. Entry into the water may be gradual or by diving, depending on the marine conditions and depth of the chosen dive site.

Ieranto Bay is known for its rich marine biodiversity. During the dive, divers can explore rocky seabeds, underwater caves, and observe a variety of fish, mollusks, and corals. The transparency of the water allows for exceptional visibility. Some of the underwater points of interest might include coral formations, rock walls teeming with life, and the chance to encounter local fish such as barracuda, moray eels, octopus, and more.

At certain times during the dive, divers can simply float and enjoy the beauty of the underwater world of Ieranto Bay. The observation of the seascape and the feeling of lightness in the water will contribute to a memorable experience.

After a compelling dive, divers will gradually ascend to the surface, following safety procedures. Once on the surface, they may have the opportunity to exchange impressions of the experience and share observations made during the dive.

After the ascent, there may be a short debriefing in which the highlights of the dive are discussed.

Scuba diving in Ieranto Bay offers a unique experience for sea and underwater nature lovers, allowing you to explore the hidden treasures of the coastal waters of the Sorrento Peninsula.
